Minichiello is about the same age as Webb but is a much better fullback. He's having a great season in the NRL and with all his experience in Grand Finals, SOO and Tests he will be able to pass it on to our young backs. I think similar to the role that Buderus performed.

Lee Smith to replace Webb is fine for me! He just needs a regular spot and he has a safe pair of hands under the high ball and can pass adjacent and not forward!

Why on earth would Leeds want to sign both a winger and fullback? Even if Webb leaves, that would mean only one position up for grabs.

Isn't Webb able to pass on that same said experience in GF's ? Pretty lame reason for replacing one ageing FB with another past his prime.



Whatever Buderus did do for the club (and he did plenty of course) I don't consider his mentoring role was anthing to trumpet about. Do you see any vast improvement in McShane's consisency ?? He doesn't appear to have benefitted from Buderus's sagacity in any significant way
