For what it is worth I don't think it was a gouge, but he defiantly targeted Greenwoods eyes with his fingers not only once, but twice when his hand was knocked down.



I also agree that the Tautai penalty reduction is ridiculous what message does that send out, it has always been the same with the RFL, if a team have a big game coming up like a final or a semi you cab guarantee they will do their upmost to ensure they play.

Yeah he cops a knee from an attacker fighting to get up and the defender hanging around, it happens a lot you get that or an elbow.

He didn't cop an accidental knee, Ablett knew full well what he was doing. If you push someone you do so with the palm of your hand. You do not lead with your fingers. If it had happened once you could maybe think it was an accident in the heat of the moment trying to push him away. The fact that Greenwood pushes his hand away and he goes straight back there leading with his fingers first to me shows he knew what he was doing.



You have an interesting perspective of the incident given you are calling other our out. Ignoring the knee, claiming it was a push to the face. I could turn around and say Tautai hit the thigh then slid to the knee. Even if that was the case it was still a dangerous tackle with poor technique. He deserved 2 games a pro player should know not to go in like that, just like a player at any level should know not to be putting your fingers near any players eyes.

Funny own is all on Ablett, given the penalty was awarded for Greenwood pushing his head into Ablett's head on the floor. Followed when they were standing up Greenwood is the one who leans in first for their head to head rubbing and then puts his forearm into Ablett's face.

It still doesn't take away from the fact Ablett lead with the fingers on 2 occasions whilst "pushing" Greenwood.
