Would think that we will not make many changes to the squad for the game v St. Helens but be surprised if Singleton isn’t banned:

Dwyer Sutcliffe/Donaldson/Ward/Peteru/Oledzki

Change Ferres for Ward and that’s a good one.

I really struggle with Ferres. We need his physicality sometimes but he always give dog*t penalties away every game too.



On balance I’d go with Sutcliffe, Martin, Merrin back row and then Dwyer/Ward/Oledski/Peteru on bench with Ava Lunt Cuthbo the starting front row.



Back line picks itself at the moment.

I think Hurrell May be banned for this....or out injured anyway if he escapes the judiciary

Reckon Hurrell will be sin bin sufficient though Singleton will cop a game or two. Ferres is playing as well as he ever has for us right now (not an especially high bar, I know) so part of me says it'd be foolish not to play him. That said, I want Ward to play some minutes before the season's out as it might clarify matters a bit. Be watching through my fingers whenever there's contact, mind.

Ferres has been very good since Cas away. Poop rest of time, and still needs to go, but justifying is shirt since Cas away, each week.

Peteru in for Singleton, Ward in for Donaldson

I just wish he’d stop trying to be a ball playing second rower and attacking out wide. Virtually every time he gets the ball out wide the attack is killed either because he’s too slow or because he tries something daft.

If he’d just put his head down and consistently drive it in further infield I think he’d be a lot more effective and then the halves can choose to miss him out with a pass if they want the play wider.

Ferries is good in defence at the minute but too scared to get caught in possession so offloads or even worse puts in crap kicks.

Better of playing suttclife and having peteru or big oggy on bench.

Singo gets two game ban so won’t be playing
