| Wigan were far stronger, fitter and faster than us. Agree with printer we had to do too much work in first half but think our problems are deeper than that. The difference in pace between the 2 sides was alarming. We have too many players who are genuinely one paced/slow. Game was very similar to n q Cowboys. They were too big and quick for us and we ran out of gas. Our attack was utterly clueless. I would be surprised if Leeds beat Wigan this season. They were missing Tomkins and Williams and mcilorum. Powell is average at best and they bombed chances on left edge in first half but still murdered us. Just got home from Wigan so this posting is a bit raw. Danny McGuire will help but can't do it on his own. Some of the brain dead options early in tackle count were horrendous. Will try and end on a positive, good to see falloon and jjb looking decent. I am hoping this is a post wcc, Catalan tired spell. However, think we need a real reaction in next 2 weeks or any hope of top 4 is gone.

Tbf Wire have a good chance at the moment depending on injuries. As easily as Wigan won tonight you could still see how much they missed McIlorum and had to make do with Powell who played a big part in why they only scored 6 points in the 1st half despite the position and possession. Like mentioned, not a problem tonight but could be costly later in the season.

| I think got we were pretty average tonight yet it still probably should have been more which sums up the Leeds performance really. I've seen injuries mentioned as a reason behind the defeat tonight but to my reckoning we had 5 of our first 17 missing compared to Leeds 6 (at best). I would also say that we had more crucial players missing with three of our five starting pivots out (Tomkins, Williams and McIlorum) in comparison to Leeds one (McGuire).
I'm sure you'll bounce back but that was poor.

Too right Nicky, you seem a more polite poster than you were a player.
Not sure there is a quick cure for having some players with rocks in their heads and some who look like they are pulling a fridge. I think Wigan were average and as you say missed 1,6 and 9 but were far too fit, strong and quick and organised.

It was very poor but a marginally better performance than last week against Huddersfield.
Luckily, Silverwood put in a decent performance for them.

| The big question for Leeds to answer is can you find some leaders to replace Sinfield and Peacock. There's lots of quality to come back in and the 17 will be strong again but it may find itself in that backs to the wall position that Leeds have done on many occasions over the years. The difference to my mind is that when you did in the past those two pulled it all together and forged a spirit that took you to some great moments.
I don't see that them jumping out at me but maybe I'm wrong. I thought Cuthbertson looked like he's trying to take Peacocks mantle on tonight but he's more of a free spirit. There seems to be an awful weight on McGuires shoulders and he's a very emotional player.

| Quote Vespid_Wire="Vespid_Wire"You've been woeful so far. Worse than we were last year. No passion for the Leeds shirt and no effort in defence, you're missing leaders big-time.
=#FF0000If only there was a 33 year old Aussie halfback, renowned for his leadership, that was available to come over and play in Super League..

And therein lies the problem over here. Pack your teams with overage, oversea,s overpaid Antipodean players. What did Wigan do, give a young academy player his debut. Leeds 5 overseas players Wigan 2.

Said it a couple of weeks ago, we dont look fit enough.
No idea what we did in pre-season, look tired in defence, and no one is in sync in attack, absolutely shocking
If they dont buck their ideas up a top four finish will be out of reach before the magic weekend

Your halves were SOL and Smith. Compared to Sutcliffe and Lilley? Come on, we need a stand off plus McGuire. You were missing McIlorum yes, but Falloon was on the bench and was making his debut coming back from injury. We looked better when he came on. Also, the defensive work Ablett, Ward and Delaney get through is unbelievable. They were badly missed. Moon in defence and attack is a huge miss. Briscoe is miles better than Handley.

| I think we had some missing so did Wigan. Don't see it as an issue we have a professional squad we had a team that should have done better than it did. It's not about who's got the worse injuries. We got completely outplayed. The players should be embarrassed
