agreed, just as I gave him stick for an inept perfomance last week the lad deserves credit for a very good showing yesterday. Radford deserved red - simple as. The only reason he copped an elbow in the first place was because he was holding on preventing the quick ptb. No defence for throwing fists at someone one the floor. More of the same please Bailey - next week Fielden!

Thats his job, its one of the reasons he's on the pitch, it niggles the opposition, destroys their discipline and gets them to retaliate - and the retaliater always gets penalised.

Well if that turns you on good luck to you! Has it really come down to win at any price. A policy of niggle and blatant cheap shots is not the way I prefer to win. You can play tough within the rules in our game but what you are suggesting is a deliberate plan to win by cheating rather like the divers in soccer.
You can struggle in the tackle and you can excuse one elbow to the head as an accident but 3 shots in quick succession is obviously deliberate as was the follow up attempted head butt. Radford was stupid and wrong to hit a defenceless man on the ground and deserved all he got.

One elbow to the head can be an accident but 3 on the trott was deliberate as you know it and is dangerous play as was his attempted follow up head butt which I suppose is also the norm? Had it been the other way around you would have been complaining. Radford was stupid but is this really the way you wish to win? |
