| Quote AJC="AJC"if Webbs attitude off the pitch was the same as it was on the pitch then it would be difficult for any coach to tolerate.'"
This.
You used to be the future once. Thank you Brent Webb but now it's time to move on. I wouldn't select him again for Leeds after the effect his last selection had on both himself and his team-mates performances at Belle Vue (despite McDermott saying he was just trying too hard) and I said the same immediately after that performance even after making an allowance for the evil Pink Kit.

| What does anybody really know about Webb's attitude?
Why did McDemott include Webb at full back for that Wakefield game in the first place? His radio comments before that game were that he appreciated how well Hardaker had played but Webb was such an important player and such a good player he had to bring him back in. So what changed in those 30 mins at Wakefield?
McDermott is a big boy. It appears he likes to talk bluntly to the players. If a player responded in like manner is McDermott really so petty that he would refuse to consider selecting that player? Note, I haven't said select. Because, if Webb is fit this charade means McDermott won't pick Webb no matter what. Had he said "The way Zak is playing he's earned the jersey and Webb must wait for his chance" I could get it. But his stubbornness on this issue isn't really benefiting the club, which is all I care about.
If rumours are to be believed (just rumours I stress) this has caused division amongst the players and led to GH having the headache of an employee complaint. All could have been avoided by decent management but not by this approach.
If rumours (again i stress rumours) are to be believed this could also be McDermott's downfall and, if so, then I suppose it's a positive.

| A young prop called Adam Walker has Rejected new terms for the giants,he must be confident in his own abilities to turn the new terms Down ,Anybody have any knowledge of him, maybe something for us.
Also The giants have finished with Scott Moore, looks his downward spiral continues ,when you looked at his form and potential several years ago you would have thought he would make the grade at top level.

| Quote G1="G1"I'd agree but given that Webb has been our most creative force under Mcdermott's reign, given McGuire's injury and given McDermott's decision to play Burrow at hooker in the cup final I would certainly have found a place for Webb on the bench at Wembley.
For me, taking a stance like "you won't play again" is unnecessarily stubborn and not always in the best interest of the team. Seems a typical Mcdermott approach.
What if, god forbid, Hardaker was injured, would we still be saying no Webb at any cost?'"
I thought the official line was that Webb was injured?
Whilst on our books and fit Webb should definitely be a replacement for Hardaker, if that's the stance that McDermott has taken then I agree it's very juvenile.
Back to the cup final I wouldn't have picked Webb, I think Webb (current form) at fullback on a big pitch like wembley would be disastrous from a defensive point of view

If the option was Webb or Hardaker at fullback then Hardaker fully deserves his spot. If the option was Webb or Keinhorst on the bench then it would have been ridiculous not to choose Webb.

| From watching him play and when he has a decision go against him we all know Webb never think's he's in the wrong. So maybe a more likely scenerio is that McDermott told Webb quite honest and accurately after the Wakey game (when he was quite fortunate to be accommodated in the 1st place given Hardaker's form) that after his shocking showing, that Hardaker will be 1st choice from now on and that Webb will have to really improve his attitude and earn his way back in. Now given Webb's previously mentioned tendecy to sulk and disagree with any decision made against him, instead of knuckling down and proving McDermott wrong he simply put his bottom lip out, his no showing at the disciplinary the day after the Wakefield game due to 'illness' (when McDermott was decent enough to go in his place BTW) probably show's best the attitude Webb will have taken at the time. Senior was another one who never accepted a decision against him too well and any discussion that took place between McDermott and those 2 players privately will, i imagine, been quite twisted by those players when they spoke to the rest of the squad later on.

True but we are moving onto a different argument altogether here, personally I would have wanted another forward on the bench.
Moore would have been more use than Webb or Keinhorst.

I'll fill you in on Friday night. Afterwards, I'll tell you the gossip I've heard.

Every player that is part of the squad deserve the "opportunity" to be "considered for" selection. To refuse to even consider for selection a paid employee would be stupid and, probably, illegal.
