HGH use is rife in Rugby League from what i hear, I know a player who was on it from the age of 16/17 for a couple of years and he was in a Super League Academy, Although his career has stalled in the lower leagues since.

One person who has taken something telling you that 'everybody does it' has zero credibility - its a classic self-defence statement which means nothing and cannot be proven without testing every player in SL. Almost every drug cheat who's ever been caught has tried to blur their own guilt with that kind of statement.



As for Alker, he may have been hardworking on the field, but off it he sounds like a complete loon. He's also happily admitted to beating up a fellow player IIRC. How he became captain and then a potential coach is beyond me.

I'm not talking just one person this was an example, HGH used to be able to go under the radar when it came to testing, It's clear to see that certain juniors are provided with this to bulk up incredibly fast.

Just out of interest, when a player is caught or admits taking performance enhancing substances, do they ever explain where the substance came from, or who supplied and administered the substance?

They can't just wake up one morning and decide they are going to take some HGH or Stanozonol (or anything else). Surely they'd get some advice, guidance or instructions about taking it from someone or being told to take it and what improvements and side effects they would expect?

IIRC weren't Keiron Cunnigham and Keith Senior administered drugs by RFL employees or have I got that mixed up?
