We will be without Ryan Hall, Ben Jones Bishop, Danny McGuire, Jamie Peacock, Carl Ablett, Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Ryan Bailey. Zak Hardaker and Chris Clarkson, are back in training so i assume theyll play, Keith Senior has been invited to play for the game aswell. I doubt Brett Delaney and Brent Webb will play and Kylie Leulaui doesnt think he will be playing also.

Not sure I'd be playing Ward either - how much of an off-season will he have had given he's just played for England Academy against AIS?
Have to be careful not to over-work kids at that age while they are still developing physically.

It is conceivable that they may have trained full time from January to mid-November though isn't it? While I'm sure you train at high intensity all year round like a machine, I'm happy for them to have a bit of a breather. Especially since the purpose of the game is only to allow Fat Boy to put a turkey on his head while everyone else gets some post-Christmas fresh air and chats about what Santa brought them. A worthwhile exercise, given that many of the punters may still have enough festive alcohol in their bloodstreams to purchase a commemorative brick and/or "Gold" membership. |
