With our very patchy form and the top 3 already looking too far ahead is 4th the best we can hope for?



If we hit form at the right time we can probably win it from there and I certainly wouldn't want to be the ones who picked us as the "coach's choice" in week 3.

That's the way I see it. I posted before the saints game that if we lost that, 4th was the best we could hope for, and we'd be doing well to get that. Now obviously people disagreed, but I think it's correct and as long as our defence is as leaky as it is at the moment we'll struggle to get 4th.

We will know after our next 2 matches Wolves/Bulls - we might even be out of the top 8 again after that!!!!



We will also be away to Harlequins a couple of weeks after that without some of our internationals as it is also the test match that day - that will not help the result much

4th is a realistic target, I reckon 35 points will be enough, so it needs to be 11 wins out of 14 for a solid position because I can't really see the Giants getting 10/14. Don't forget that Saints, Wigan and Warrington won't be able to maintain this form throughout the season, they will hit a rough patch, as long as we are mostly consistent for the rest of the season we'll have no trouble getting 4th.

Leeds have the potential to and skill set to win the GF from anywhere within the top 8 (that is if we ever get a fully fit squad).

In theory we have the potential. But if we finish low down in the playoffs, it would most likely mean we've continued to stutter, be inconsistent, leak points, have injuries and in that situation we'd be in no shape to ''win from anywhere in the 8''.

We could mathmattically break into top 3 but in reality 4th is our best finish, I think we will do well to finish there! I think more realistically 5 down will be where we finish, but we do have the ability to win from low down in the top 8

i still fancy our boys to win the gf this season regardless of where we finish in the table,someone has to buck the trend of the sides finishing in the top 3 winning it,so why not us, and from anywhere in the 8?

Pedantic I know , but do you fancy us winning it from 9th ?

we're so good we can win it from 9th, or even 10th. Come playoff time we'll be the team no one want's to play.

Are you saying the RFL will change the play off rules if you finish 9th or 10th.

all it takes is a good run, a bit of consistency and we will make fourth. there is half a season to go, anything could happen yet
