Bigger question will be do we retain him after next year? If he can replicate this year then he will probably get a deal, apart from Roby who is head and shoulders above the rest of the hookers in SL, Aiton has been right up there as the best of the rest and seems to have found his feet with us now.Will probably depend on the development of Robbie Ward over the next 18 months.

Does anybody know about his drug doping case in Australia or has that just been swept under the carpet now

Does it really matter - he is a pretty average SL player that could easily be replaced. Leeds didn't have much competition in getting doubt they would have much problem replacing him with a player of equal ability

Sal you bring balance to this forum by virtue of the fact that you seem to have a cloud for every silver lining.

I would say Aiton is currently the 2nd best hooker in SL and his performances have been part of the reason we've played so well this year.



I'm not sure that that qualifies him as pretty average or that he's "easily" replaced.

Cracking player. He looks incredibly comfortable & composed around the ruck which is the mark of a class player, as opposed to the headless chicken variety.

Better than Roby better than McIllorum better than Clark and the list goes on?

He's improved alot this year. if the development continues in year 3, he's worth keeping around.

On his seasons form I'd have him over any of the others you've mentioned other than Roby.



He's been outstanding and it's obvious our forwards are relishing the space he's creating for them by engaging the markers, a skill that he performs to a far higher level than McIllorum has ever reached.

Somebody on here needs to be objective/realistic - Aiton is no Buderus and he would be much easier to replace like for like. He looks good in a good side so would many others
