| Love it - heap all the pressure on Wigan and then, when it matters, we'll be up to form with players back and capable of winning that GF from anywhere in the top 8.
All I want tomorrow is a good performance from whatever bunch of lads takes the field.
They beat us there last season - It's hardly a season defining, certainly not at this stage of the competition.

| Champions do not get crowned in March. Wigan's great form isn't of concern but our lack of wins is. We can't loose too much more ground.
However, the most interesting part of the article was this....
Quote with more talk of Brian McClennan giving up the Headingley coaching reins at the end of the year '"
Has anyone heard any such talk?

| only issue I have is that Leeds seem like the team that can win it from 8th, so us finishing top doesnt fill me with confidence still

Can't see it, but that would depend on whether McClennan wanted a challenge or an easier ride. It's quite plain to see to most that several of the Rhino's successfull players are now onto their end games, rather than the sprightly every improvers we were previously seeing.
That makes the job much harder going forward, unless you are a coach who gets the best out of players, or unless the management have any plans for changes.

It's all over Facebook apparently.
McClennan is out of contract at the end of this season. It's probably a bit early to interpret that as 'talk' of him leaving but blogging journalists don't need much else to drum up a story.
The most interesting part of the article for me was the lack of movement on the table after round seven last season. Didn't we discuss the same on here a few days ago.

| Must admit I couldn't be bothered reading the full article as from the first few lines you get an idea of the dibble that is going to follow.
All Leeds have to do is finish 8th, we can then comfortably go to anyone's backyard without any pressure (as we would be well written off anyway) and beat the lot.
Wigan are not that great - anyone see the tries they leaked against Cas? Certainly not the stuff of champions, you wouldn't see Leeds or Saints defend like that when in form.

| If it were late August time i'd be concerned but i'll prefer to see where we are then with hopefully a full squad(minus Watkins) on the paddock.
As for the Bluey exit the same was said of Smith throughout 06 Iirc when times were tough especially after the CC and play-off exit.

| With Blueys current contract ending at the end of the year, I wouldn't mind seeing someone else at the helm. Not that Bluey is doing much wrong, I just feel a new coach could give Leeds a kick up the backside better than what Bluey does.

Nor would you see Wigan who never got out of third gear at best against Cas.
