| Quote casman2="casman2"What gets me is why is the one for the drop between us and Wakey? surely if Crusaders have gone in to administration they should be dropped from SL automatically'"
The same reason why they kept harlequins in when they went into administration, they really are no longer interested in the heartland of the sport. It's all about expansion and keeping these clubs in no matter what!
Whether this proves to be right in the long term we wait to see.

| Quote RFL or super league loaned Crusaders 700 thousand pounds to be paid back over ten years Wakey asked for 350 thousand to be paid back in 12 months and were refused !!! Don't get me wrong I am not blaming them for our downfall but between them and how our club as been run for the last few years I would be surprised if we get out of this one '"
I think the 700 grand was not a loan but monies owed to the rfl by crusaders which is probably made up of league fees and monies given to the club when they started up. After the fiasco of the monies owed i think many more clubs will find it harder in the future to get financial assistance from the rfl.

| I was told it was money given to them for players and coaches and backroom/administration staff. Crusaders actually owed over a million. After 700k a big wedge of the rest of the debt was owed HMRC which i am told they went into administration ro wipe this off and HMRC have basically taken their bat and ball when it comes to using repayment plans for paying tax back so insteading paying back in instalments we have been asked to pay a bill in full. Not sure how true this is but if is there could be other clubs in the firing line.

I meant when the licensing comes around again. Isn't one of the criteria to do with the financial state of the club?

| indeed. I expect administration to be a major negative in their licence application. But not necessarily a fatal one.
Similarly, I expect the fact that we're not playing in the new stadium we promised in the 2008 bid to be a weakness in our 2011 bid. But, as long as there's progress in building it and it's likely to be ready for the 2012 season, I certainly don't expect it to be a fatal one.

| Rodney Walker seems to be keeping a low profile, or does he know something and wants to keep his distance from wakey till it all blows over?
Seems like a waste of his hundred and odd grand lol
After all the polecats gloating over the last 6 months or so I feel we deserve a little chuckle

The one that saw Widnes readmitted to the league they'd been playing in before administration, but with a points deduction? You mean exactly the same as has happened with Crusaders? Or do you mean thatnder that rule, they should have been treated differently to and far harsher than Widnes, outside the scope of the actual rule?
Or do you mean it should be taken into account when their licence application for 2012-14 is considered? [url=http://viewtopic.php?p=15755537#p15755537I not only agree it should, but I expect it will be[/url
Indeed, I fully expect every bid submitted for this April to be judged on its merits. The problem for Trinity is that, looking from outside without obviously knowing the details, the merits of any bid submitted by them seem to be getting fewer and fewer, almost with each passing week.

| The management of Wakey is and has been appalling for the past 20 years or so. Too many family members involved and not one decent businessman.
