On Joe Arundel's bio it says: 'It has recently been announced that he is to sign for Hull FC ahead of the 2013 season'

Clubs are allowed to talk to the players before the anti-tampering deadline as long as the player's club gives them permission.
Basically, any club could talk to a Cas player before the deadline as long as Cas have given them permission. |

Correct.
Unless Joe Arundel has said in no uncertain terms that he will not sign for Cas.
Regardless of that, Cas have released a statement on Twitter advising it was due to an internal human error and that Joe is a Cas player and is in talks for a new deal. |

Am I supposed to know that?
Maybe the club had talks with the player and they failed.
Maybe the player had made it clear that he wished to leave the club.
Maybe the club lacked ambition and wished to see if they could make any money out of it.
I don't know and I didn't claim to. I just explained how it works. |

Do you honestly believe that?
Arundel's agent has already done the deal with Hull FC and Joe has already told Cas he's going, it can't physically be signed or announced due to the anti-tampering law, But it's done. |

There is no smoke without fire and the rumour is that he will go, I personally think it is a done deal and it will be announced after the anti-tampering deadline although I have no evidence that this is the case. Until it is confirmed by the club though, he is still our player.
