I also know that Mr. Steele has stated publicly the reasons why Halifax wish to play the game thursday or friday. Also the footy team have a home fixture on the saturday.

Anyway here is a simpler way of looking at things , if the top club , played the one lowest ranked and they win then the other high ranked team will have to play against a lower rated club for the privilege of being introduced to the lowest placed team which would mean Fax are the common denominater , providing its not raining in Sheffield , then its down to playing at the LSV as the pies are better and the pubs are closer , I hope you understand this , Stanley Unwin taught me everything I know .

We wont get an extra 1K on the gate if we play it Sunday instead of Thursday or Friday. The only way we will get a decent crowd is if we end up playing Leigh which is unlikely. The other teams wont bring any fans so it will just be the die hard fans that will go giving a crowd that will probably be around the 2K mark unless there is some major promotion of the game.



It may be a good game to test the theory that reducing admission price will lead to bigger crowds but it has been a risk that the club really hasnt been willing to take in the past.

So we are still in for a Fax v Leigh final?
