It's fairly simple really , the RFL don't do ' Negative '
Now the situation is that a club currently in SL is being dropped , I would suggest that is a fairly negative thing to announce , relegation by committee isn't something we have seen before
So in an attempt to make it into what resembles a competition they need a ' plucky ' lower tier club to focus on , rather than the reality of the situation , which is a club being dropped into relative obscurity for the rest of time
A ' will Fax make it into SL ' , rather than ' are Wakey doomed '
It explains why they wanted Fax to pass the attendance criteria , otherwise they would have had to drop them like they did Barrow
