Just wanted to say good luck to Sam with his future. Sam is a truly smashing lad and with the right application and guidance could still make it to the top in my view. Disappointed that he is leaving but we all have to make decisions in life that may or may not work out. Time will tell. Good luck Sam at Fev and with your future career and life choices!

Is this 100% fact that he has signed a 2 year contract with Leigh and how much of your post is 100% factual

As a forum poster I can't say that my post is 100% factually correct as like most people I rely on a bit of good old gossip!! However my source is usually pretty good and closd to the mark, but an element of Chinese whispers can sometimes add a little. However the fact the local rag a few days ago reported he was expected to join Leigh after his loan at Fev gave me confidence my source isn't a million miles away. James (the reporter in our paper) is quite close to the club and very respected and trusted by them so hence I believe the deal with Leigh to be true. What Fax have received in return is the murky bit as that's between all concerned. Again my source is usually pretty good and tends to dangle a carrot rather than confirm or deny if they can get away with that!!! The fact that Barlow is only 1 year into a 2 year deal is FACT too. Also the only way Barlow could leave whilst still under contract is on loan, we receive a transfer fee, released by mutual consent or something else is agreed between relevant parties. Read into that what you will but if Fax were going to just release him they would have done that with immediate effect and not put him out on loan. This leaves me to trust that Leigh have agreed to do something that we wanted too....??

What I struggle to get my head round in all of this Sam and Leigh link is the fact that he was on a 2 year contract that still had a year to run.



Everyone would have known that so why would Leigh make an approach knowing the possible repercusions.



Why and how could Sam sign anything with them when he, his agent and Leigh knew he was tied to Fax thus making any signature worthless, unless Fax were compliant in what was going on.

Faxcar that mate I don't know but 100% agree and asked the very same question. The reply to me was.... "Fax did ok trust me". Sam is not vindictive and I'm not sure he always gets the best advice from his advisors/agent but something has happened and as the you'd ol Yorkshire saying goes... It'll all come out in t'wash!!

What I don't understand is why we would take him on until the end of the season get him fit then let him go to Leigh Our forwards are playing very well at the moment we have just loaned green from HKR so if Barlow is a bad as people are making out on his fitness he won't get in our team. I thought he would of been England's replacement for next season
