Ah, but our little town has actually got Elton John performing at the LSV on 21st June!



Knowing the history of recent Leigh v Fax postponements mind, I bet it clashes with our fixture next season!

Both the east stand and south stand now sold out with very limited tickets available in the north stand. Does anyone know what the capacity of the stadium is?!

Just been down to Shay for tickets. Less than 100 left. Asked about capacity Just over 10,000.

Should be interesting to see what the att will be at Salford tomorrow

Where abouts are they putting the big screen?

I wonder what they'll be doing about bar and catering facilities. The SSL will only cater for the South Stand and the East Stand bar will never handle the rest.



Just a thought, it may re-emphasise the Shay's shortcomings as it stands. Yes, I know it doesn't have to cope with 10,000+ crowds very often but if it is ever going to be self-financing (under what ever owner) it needs to be able to handle big fixtures and concerts.

Really chuffed with this attendence. I really thought we would struggle to get above three thousand.

Just like last year when the Olympic torch came to Halifax and I thought one man and his dog would turn out and it transpired that the streets were lined with people.

Goes to show that when there are 'events' people will turn out in numbers.
