You would know this far better than I could, but to me, it seemed like he annihilated us, at 'Fax - and his kicking game was spot on, that day. (apart from the late chip into Hall's hands!) Think yourselves lucky you have your two halves, and not any of ours!

It's very easy to kick the ball into touch at end of each set when you've a 18+ lead as the Oldham 7 did last night.That doesn't neccessarily constitute a good kicking game.

Personally I feel we should of played our full strength team against Oldham. If we lose at Toulouse which is likely way Toulouse are playing its been a bad week and a missed opportunity. We underestimated Oldham and got what we deserved.

Not just hindsight, after Leigh several people said it was important to keep a settled team with the new combinations.Bit cheated really as a cup tie with HKR would have been the high of what is going to be a depressing season.Hope that round isn't televised as we'd have probably got that too.

Just got back and missed last nights game and can’t comment on the standard of play.

The result would suggest that the those who played weren’t good enough.

Listened to RM’s comments and he clearly thinks the league is more important than the cup and we wouldn’t have been able to back up on the weekend if we had fielded a full strength side.

Is he going to write off one of the Easter games as well......?

Likely will be but not for the Oldham game because as you know being cup tied.

He obviously made the decision to rest a number of first team regulars with one eye on the Toulouse game and to give some of the younger lads from the reserves an opportunity against Oldham still believing they would be good enough on the night.

They weren’t and it didn’t work and he admitted it and takes responsibility, the Courier report covers it.

Doubt he will do it again on such a scale and taking fitness and form into account for league games team selection will be from established first teamers, loan players / DR players and reserve team players in that order.

Not saying it is right or wrong just answering the question.

But it still constitutes a kicking game - and it helped you to pin us back in our '22', for long stretches. And, believe me, it certainly constitutes more of a kicking game than we've seen at Leigh this past two seasons!

Having been a Leigh supporter for more years than I care to remember, one essential quality has been a sense of humour (much like you guys, I guess?) - although there hasn't been an awful lot to make us smile yet this season!!
