Yes, we need Heaton back in for a few games, starting today. Robinson is down the pecking order for me, Johnno should be given a chance at 7 not in one week, fullback the next, sat on his bum the week after, can't help him at all.

Will be interesting to see how the front row goes this week as well, 2 out and Bracek on loan, so opportunities there for players to make their mark.

I think Heaton in the second row is a good shout, he looks more than capable. I am still convinced he isn't a centre due to an inability to pass, so why not give it a go! That way at least we will presumably have Tangata at prop to add some size in the middle. Jonno should be at 7. If Connor is playing, he needs to really step up to the plate today. He was found wanting against the SL sides in last years middle eights, so time to prove he can mix it.



We are due a performance and think we may thrive having no real pressure on today's game. Optimistically, Fax by 6.

Should have won this if a little more composed. Same players coming up with the same mistakes, week in. Week out. Heaton not passing when tries on, Smeaton jumping out of the line, and calamity Sharp with his Worrincyesque handling. Impressed with Miles Greenwood today though.



Widnes were very poor today and there for the taking.

I think you're being a tad harsh there. Fax made them look poor. Agreed that we had a few half-chances in the second half when it was 18-18 that we didn't take, and for some reason we seemed to go into panic mode at times, but you could see the team that finished last season so well fighting to emerge.



Next week is an awesome game. Make some more improvements, and we can beat anyone in this league. We kept going for 80 minutes today - we looked like we'd give it our all at the end (which we had), but there was no capitulation and if we can do the same in our league games then we'll do Ok.

We had them on the ropes. Just needed that composure when them chances came.



Widnes took theirs and won.



In hindsight. A good effort though. We looked the better team at times.

I thought it was a real good game today. We matched them in every aspect of the game bar the play the ball. They were really quick there, although we coped with it quite well. Hopefully no injuries and lets all get to Batley next week and make it a wall of blue and white. Victorian, Squawk Pale 3.7% Mmm! Up the Fax!
