| Quote sanjunien="sanjunien"I called you what ????? when ????? you sound such a bitter person.....
there are some lovely places in your area but I haven't been to Halifax since the 70/80s with Norwich City in a cup game if I recall - spent a few of days in the area and did indeed see the delights of Hebdon Bridge & Todmorden etc etc yeh, nice part of the world - will visit again when I retire and have more time on my hands.
I'm not comparing Toulouse to anywhere else ! it's a nice area, just like there are nice areas in the uk - don't be so touchy !
if you can't take a light-hearted comment in the spririt in which it was intended then you must have one heck of a chip on a certain part of your anatomy.
lighten up man
So,will you be down for the next TO game ?'"
I will be at Toulouse, next year if we play them. I will be at Catalan Dragons or Lezignan if we draw them in the cup. I prefer that area of France.

good, look forward to having a pint with you
Lezignan is a bit of a dump IMO - poor ground IMO which wouldn't go down well with the RFL for any future Championship ambitions tho' Narbonne, just down the road is a nice place
Don't know if you know Perpignan ? cracking place, not a patch on Toulouse IMO though i'm still tempted to move down there...just need to sell my present place...

| Toulouse is alright but not somewhere which I rate that highly. The transport system is not that great as when I was there in 2009 there was no Rail link between the City and Airport. The city is pretty especially with the canal through the middle of the city, but not that great. I would pick Perpignan area over Toulouse to be honest, as theres some nice little places nearby like Collioure. Anyway where I live I feel is way better and is the safest city in Europe despite having some of Europes biggest festivals going on throughout the year.

| The Toulouse underground is pretty impressive and a new line to the airport is not far off making life a bit easier.
Perpignan is a nice place but in the summer places like Colliure,Port Vendres & Argeles etc are jampacked and no-go areas - it's ok out of season though we were there last weekend and Collioure was bedlam to get around and that's in early march !
Where do you live ?

| I really liked Toulouse when I visited. Haven't been to Perpignan. It's a shame there isn't a RL team in Pau. I love it there!

| yeh,Pau is another nice place - great castle in the centre and some good vinyards in the area !
Tarbes (near Lourdes) is also worth a look if you're in the area.

| I live just outside Munich near the Alps. I was in Perpignan around March time and so was out of season. Really like the coastal route with the Pyrenees as a nice backdrop with the snow on.

| Carcasonne is worth a visit as well especially the old town and the fortified area above the town. And is on the train route between Toulouse and Perpignan. Watched France v Wales there and the Stadium is decent and of course there is the famous statue of Puig Aubert-probably the best ever French RL player.

sounds great - everyone tells me Munich is a no.1 place - i've only ever been to the northern bits of gremany
ie Travemunde,Lubeck etc
yes,we went down to Perpignan for the Saints game from Limoges and the backdrop of Le Canigou in all it's glory was great - the weather was good and Collioure was busy, even in march ! Tne last time I was there was a few years ago when Barça played the Gooners in the Champions cup final - now that WAS a great night......
