It's only the same as you pinning your hopes on a bunch of part time politicians and a stadium that apparently doesn't erode or weather with time. Abbott's magic beans are no worse than the council's.
Commercial sense should win through at the end of this process with Abbott taking over our stadium and sweating the assets therein. The clubs (with Abbots help) must step up to the plate and come up with a plan to get more Calderdale people watching the respective sporting events. |

Because the council need the money and personally I'm not all that bothered whether the council retain ownership or it goes to Reactiv (although I slightly favour the latter option). What worries me is that with their hatred for all things Fax FCHT fans would rather see the Shay razed to the ground than fall into the hands of TA/Reactiv. They are constantly stating that he is trying to get it on the cheap but that is with the stipulation that it remains a sports stadium which limits it's value to a potential purchaser. To realise it's full value that stipulation would need to be removed. |
