I asked the question when Sam came to Fev and was told that we got him on loan because fax had made him available to us and we were short on forwards but he wasn't on the list of players for next season that the coach wanted as he wasn't available at that time So unless something changes I don't see him at Fev next year not on his salary you have just confirmed he not coming back to Fax so looks like it will be Leigh Sam has said he has a few options for next year so we will see

But I cannot see them paying him what he's on now

Have fax released him as of 1 December or is there compensation for his release

The strange thing about the timing of the announcement is that they've done it without being able to get Barlow to say how much he is looking forward to joining them etc. It's been widely touted he would end up at Leigh for a while, so why Rowley/Leigh chose to announce it yesterday and today I'm not sure. It's understandable that Barlow had decided to (or been advised to) say nothing had been decided until after Fev's last game, but why Leigh /Rowley couldn't wait until they could get Barlow on board with their announcement is puzzling. Not the best PR to announce your marquee signing when he's still telling the world he hasn't decided what he wants to do.

It just highlights the unprofessionalism or certain clubs in this league. Paul March spouting his mouth off about other clubs transfer dealings, Leigh chairman/coach announcing the signing of a player under contract at one club, on loan at another all mid-season.



If its not unprofessional its just disrespectful.

Totally bizarre announcement from Leigh, if it was meant to unsettle the Feb camp why do it after the game and not before. And no mention of the fact that he's still contracted elsewhere either.



The anti tampering deadline or whatever it's called is a nuisance. It's months since the rumour started that Thacks has signed for Dewsbury next season, most likely it's true, but no official announcement yet.
