Just got back from a very productive meeting.

Topics were firstly Michael Steele, re rent then the new structure with Q and A's with both Him and Karl.

Would like to digest what was said and perhaps respond tomorrow.

One thing I would say is the rent issue is nothing to worry about and us being resolved. My personal opinion is that we/ I should not comment on an ongoing dispute until it is resolved.

As I have said on previous occasions I trust out board without doubt.

Remember a freedom of information only answers a question, it isn't required to explain the circumstances.

In the board we should trust.

The rent dispute was discussed and basically revolves around us paying a lot less that what HT do and this has been going on for a while now after the council broke a promise that was made to both clubs. An offer was put forward to the council today.



The new structure was discussed along with the ins and outs of the money relating to the deal and how it will be split. KH commented that although there is essentially promotion and relegation again he does not think any team has a chance of getting in to SL from our division unless they have a wealthy benefactor a sentiment echoed by Michael Steele.



Again it was stressed how important it is to finish in the top two to get the extra funding for 2015. On that note we were told that both Fev and Leigh will break the salary cap this season although any punishment will not happen until 2015 if that did turn out to be the case.



Liam Finn signed a contract with Fax in August 2013, a document that the club still have. The ins and outs of how he got out of it were not discussed.



KH was waiting to hear back from a players agent on bringing a player in on loan. The player played in SL at the weekend but also mentioned Worrincy is recovering quicker than expected.



KH said that he does not dislike overseas players but MS said there were a lot of stipulations in getting them to the club that made it a pain in the butt.



Nigel Wood was distictly unhappy about MS comments to the papers about the new structure.

So basically, we're struggling to play at the level we are at. We probably won't be able to chase the top two so will lose that income and then not make the middle 8 so attendances will be falling even further. At least the board aren't fobbing us by saying they think promotion is virtually impossible so not to get hopes up.

But how do the Fax Board know that the two clubs mentioned will do and why was it suggested if it turned out to be the case ?



Indication is that it is a guess not a fact.

I thought MS was complimentary about the new structure? Why would Nigel be unhappy? And was the salary cap comment a passing sarcastic comment or an accusation?

Hi! For the purpose of factual information Michael (the Board) didn't say that they had broken the salary cap, he suggested that they may or may not have when questioned on the matter by I believe Mick Stansfield. So as you say it might well be conjecture.
