Are there any ref's that Fax fans actually like?

Exactly, Every single one of these posts brings out responses like "Oh not him again" or "He's rubbish".



FWIW I think Halloran is one of the better ones in our league along with Hewer. Laughton on the other hand...

Fax are form at the moment and if we keep playing the way we have and toughen up in defence a bit more, then we will get the result at the end of the 80 mins despite who the ref is.

We're our own worst enemy at the moment by gifting the opposition too much ball. The Leigh match was a prime eample, cough up the ball too much and put ourselves under too much pressure. Next step try and stop the opposition getting loser points.

Actually I got Hewer and Halloran confused. Its Hewer who it crap. Cant remember Halloran, which I suppose is good.

The thing that frustrates me about Fax is that we get into positions we know the referee is going to penalise for time and time again.



The first 5 or 10 minutes should be used to test out the referee, how long can you hold down the tackler, how early can you rush from the defensive line, how high tackles will he tolerate. After those instances you can build your game around. Fax seem to be still gauging his reactions in the 79th minute.

I'm not entirely convinced most refs are consistant with what they will/won't tolerate. You get the Gansons of this world that impose how they intend to run the game from the off, then the others that try and do the same but just end up making ill-judged calls thus frustrating the players and you end up with a melee every 5 minutes.

God help us, if he is one of the better refs - simply awfull today.
