Has anyone else had problems with beeb player on Android phones? Mine stopped working so I uninstalled it and now cannot find it on Android Market for download.

All the flagship phones should see the update, however the older ones (Last years +) will probably only get 2.2 if the users are prepared to root your phone and get a update from other sources.
